Dr. Sossa holds a Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Computer Science, complementing his background as an Electronics and Communications Engineer. Presently, he leads the Robotics and Mechatronics Laboratory at the Computational Research Center within the National Polytechnic Institute of Mexico. Notably, he is a distinguished member of both the National Researchers System and the Mexican Academy of Sciences, leveraging his expertise to contribute significantly to scientific organizations.
Dr. Damián earned his Ph.D. in Sciences from the Center for Scientific Research and Higher Education of Ensenada. He has a rich history of administrative roles at the University of Colima. Specializing in software development, he has achieved notable milestones such as the creation of SIABUC. Presently, he serves as a dedicated professor and researcher, concentrating on context-aware computing applications at the Faculty of Telematics.
Dr. Acosta is a prominent academic in Computer Science and Education. Educated at the Technological Institute of Colima, he obtained his master’s and doctoral degrees from CICESE and the University of Baja California. Since 2000, he has been a Research Professor at the University of Colima. His contributions include more than 50 articles and seven books. Additionally, he is a member of the National Researchers System (SNI) and a Senior Member of the IEEE.
Dr. Herrera is an expert in information management and knowledge extraction, having earned a Ph.D. in Information Technologies from the University of Guadalajara in 2016. He is particularly skilled in the development and support of the SIABUC system and has contributed as a co-author to various technical texts. With leadership experience at the University of Colima, his research focuses on semantic information retrieval, artificial intelligence, and data mining.
Dr. Román is an accomplished associate professor and researcher at the University of Colima, boasting both master’s and doctoral degrees in Computer Science. His expertise lies in Information Systems and Ubiquitous Computing, and he has forged collaborative partnerships with prestigious organizations such as UNESCO and ILO. Dr. Román imparts his extensive knowledge by teaching courses in Telematics Engineering and Software. Additionally, he serves as the director of the esteemed National Center for Digital Education and Information Technology Development.
Dr. Pérez is a prominent figure in education and literature, focusing on teaching, research, and consulting. Her experience across various institutions contributes to educational improvement and innovation in teaching. Furthermore, she is an expert in writing, editing, and proofreading texts, promoting excellence in education and literature.
Dr. Hernández is an eminent professional in education, holding bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees from prestigious institutions. Her experience encompasses teaching, university management, and educational system evaluation. Currently, she advises at ANUIES and coordinates the Sello Kalos Virtual Iberoamerica Seal, promoting quality in distance academic programs.
Dr. Cortés currently serves as the Executive Secretary at the Ibero-American Network for Quality Assurance in Higher Education. She holds a Doctorate in Educational Technology and a Master’s degree in Education Sciences. Previously, she was the Head of the Department of Academic Competitiveness at the Autonomous University of Guerrero. Her area of expertise focuses on quality assurance, evaluation, and the integration of technologies in education.
Jaime Chaire Huerta holds a Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin, and a postdoctoral degree from the Open University of England in Milton Keynes. His academic and professional career has revolved around technological applications and innovations in education. He collaborated with the Autonomous University of Tamaulipas in the development of its technological platform, which allowed the institution to establish advanced positioning in the implementation of internet services, email, IP telephony, and distance learning programs in the 1990s.
